Can't get enough of plants this spring! For the past few days I've been obsessed with painting them.
As a starter I chose an orchid - miltoniopsis vexillaria. I believe there's no orange types so I painted one. It's done. Miltonia seemed like a proper name for it.
AI told me the name "orchid" comes from the Greek word "orkhis," which means testicle, because the roots of some orchid species resemble the shape of testicles.
I think that everyone should know that.
On the other hand, people say that orchids bring good luck and prosperity - How come? So many questions... Do they mean, from Now on? Should I check my bank account?
And what does it has to do with testicles?
